God has taught me a great lesson. When I am fearful, my belief in the sovereignty of God is at its lowest. When I am restful, my belief in the sovereignty of God is at its highest.
I met Pastor Timothy Nguyen today. He is from Viet Nam. He was interested in the ReFocus Ministry. He asked me if I would consider coming to Viet Nam to encourage the pastors. There is a National Conference in August for Viet Namese pastors. He asked if I would come and speak to the 400 pastors of Viet Nam…to encourage and energize them. What an honor that would be!
Please help us pray concerning this.
I was asked to lead a Men’s Retreat for Zion Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia. This is the church my brother Frank and his wife attend. The retreat was held in Cordele, Georgia. Hal Slade and his wife have a beautiful facility located on a lake. The Slades offer their place as a refuge for believers who need refreshment. There is no charge for the stay…just bring your own food.
I caught two fish. On Friday morning, I has able to walk around the lake by myself and listen to music by Don Moen. This is some of the best worship music ever written. What a great time with the Lord!
It was good to read Song of Songs again. The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords has a Song of Songs. The greatest song ever written was Song of Songs. In this beautiful love song, the goal of the journey is revealed. Song 8:5-7 (NKJV)
Who is this coming up from the wilderness,
Leaning upon her beloved?
 Set me as a seal upon your heart,
As a seal upon your arm;
For love is as strong as death,
Jealousy as cruel as the grave;
Its flames are flames of fire,
A most vehement flame.
 Many waters cannot quench love,
Nor can the floods drown it.
If a man would give for love
All the wealth of his house,
It would be utterly despised.
The goal of the journey is to lean on the Lord and to love as the Lord.
Thanks to the men of Zion for inviting me on the retreat.
Joshua 3:1-5 (NKJV) Then Joshua rose early in the morning; and they set out from Acacia Grove and came to the Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they crossed over. So it was, after three days, that the officers went through the camp; and they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it,
(The ark represents God’s presence. Keep your eyes on Him – through prayer and Bible study.)
then you shall set out from your place and go after it. Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.”
(Follow the Lord, obey His Word, rely on Him, and acknowledge that you don’t know where to go.)
And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves
(Confess all known sin.),
for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
(Expect God’s movement in your midst!!)
Keep trusting..the Lord’s Wonders are coming!!!!
We love yall.
